2.22. Set Up Viewer Workspace

The Show labels tool allows you to display or hide the information about an image in the series windows. The settings are applied to all the series opened in the current tab. By default, the tool is active. To activate/deactivate the tool, click the Show labels PIC button on the toolbar.

You can adjust the visibility of:

  • Orientation cube. Located in the lower right corner of the window (for more information see Section 2.25.1). To show (hide) the Orientation cube, click the arrow on the right side of the Show labels and check (uncheck) the Show orientation cube box. Orientation cube is active by default;

  • Orientation letters. To show (hide) the Orientation letters, click the arrow on the right side of the Show labels and check (uncheck) the Show orientation letters box;

  • Render annotations. To show (hide) the Render annotations, click the arrow on the right side of the Show labels and check (uncheck) the Show render annotations box;

  • Point coordinates. The point coordinates are displayed under the cursor. To show (hide) the Point coordinates,click the arrow on the right side of the Show labels and check (uncheck) the Show point coordinates box. The point coordinates are shown in the viewer window where the cursor is placed. The coordinates are displayed as the first line in the left-hand bottom corner, in «X: px Y: px» format for original images and in «X: vx Y: vx Z: vx» format for reconstructed images;

  • Point value. To show (hide) the Point value, click the arrow on the right side of the Show labels and check (uncheck) the Show point value box. The intensity value is displayed as the second line in the left-hand bottom corner of the viewer window where the cursor is placed. It is shown in the «Value: k HU» format for original images and in «Value: k»format for reconstructed images, where k is the intensity value at the point under the cursor. If the value is inaccurate, you will see a «*» symbol next to it. This can happen when you use an MPR reconstruction tab or interpolation filters, except for bilinear. For details see Sections 2.4 and 5.3;

  • Visible tags. To customize the list of displayed tags, click the arrow on the right side of the Show labels button, select the Select visible tags... command and in the dialog that opens (Fig. 2.57) set the flags for the required tags;



    Click OK to apply the changes or CANCEL to cancel the actions.

To customize the Annotations text size, click the arrow on the right side of the Show labels button, select the Set annotations text size... command and in the dialog that opens, enter an integer or fractional value. Click OK to apply the changes or Cancel to cancel the actions.
